Fast Finish - February Challenge

Updated: Feb 24

Hi Friends! Are you ready to celebrate a WIN? It's a fact that progress increases your motivation, so let's finish a project and get amped up for more!

Something Old...

Thanks to the QuIP Challenge I now have a small pile of projects that are very close to finishing. They are projects that need:

  • quilting finished

  • squaring up

  • thread cleanup/tied off

  • binding

  • a label

Identifying what steps are left helps me find a clear path to completion, and I know exactly what I need to finish. I also know if I need help to solve a problem like get more fabric or thread, learn a new skill, or make a decision.

Yes - my binding is too short, but an easy fix!

This challenge will help free you from being stuck. This is not just for quilting either - I cleaned and organized a whole storage cabinet after sorting my quilts! It will help YOU move forward with clarity, confidence, and encouragement.

...Something New!

If you don't have a Quilt in Progress (who are you?) then I have a fun and QUICK project for you! As for me, I will get that new project buzz after I fix my binding issue on my QuIP, so win-win!

You need:

  • One 6-1/2" unfinished orphan block or make a new one

  • One 3-1/2" x 6-1/2" piece of coordinating fabric

  • One 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" piece of scrap batting or fleece

  • One 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" piece of backing fabric

This is a cute little mug rug pattern for you (or a friend) to enjoy a cup of a favorite brew. PS - you can skip the side piece and make a coaster.
