Nothing but Love Quilt Along - Enamored

Updated: Sep 6, 2022

Enamored means to be filled with love for something or someone...which is how I feel about this super sweet border!

Each border block is comprised of two patches which you have been working on for a few weeks (I hope) - Cross My Heart and Stitched Together. If you missed them, the links to the appropriate blog posts are given in the next section below.

Today we will finish making the border blocks with these two patches and make the four cornerstones, Love Knot.

Before we can actually assemble the border strips we need to square and trim the quilt blocks and border blocks. So, I have decided to break up the blog posts so as not to overload you with information and things to do.

Two Become One

After making the 16 Cross My Heart Patches and 16 Stitched Together Patches, we need to join them together to make the Enamored Block.

Here are the patterns for the two patches again (if needed) plus the "pattern" for cutting and sewing together the 16 Enamored blocks.

You just need a few strips for the block assembly process, so no tutorial or tips really. (Plus I have confidence in you!)

Making The Cornerstones - Love Knot

Yay there's only four corners on a quilt, so you only have to make four of these cute little Love Knot patches!

The pattern for these patches is VERY similar to the Stitched Together pattern, so these should come together very quickly.

Please download and print the pattern below:

As always if you have an issue with the downloading for this or any other pattern, please leave a comment below or instant chat with me.

My tips as you stitch and flip these little tiny corners on your square is to be precise in matching them up and stitching on the diagonal. Go SLOWLY so they do not shift.

Next add on the side pieces. Then the top and bottom, and voila - a little love knot!

That's it for today my friends!

Make your Knots and put your Cross and Stitch blocks together to make the border blocks. I have amended the schedule below to show the added posts for this week.

Share your blocks and patches on the blog, Facebook, or Instagram using the comments below or tagging me @polkadotpeepquiltsetc or use the hashtags #loveknotblocks #enamoredblocks or #nothingbutloveQAL - I LOVE to see them!

Tomorrow we will square up your quilt blocks, so you can trim your border blocks before making the complete border strips on Thursday.
